Many of the films I have directed so far include two or three scenes of 45 minutes each. It is very much like live filming or Big Brother if you like, there is almost no editing or cuts from beginning to end. Some people working in the industry have often reproached me for doing so but I soon realized that there was an audience for films like mine. The viewer feels like a voyeur and the pleasure is much more intense when watching those scenes. It is like those featuring Laetitia but using a more professional technique.”
“What are your best-selling films ?”
“We are beginners on the market so it is hard to give you an exact number. We are currently selling between 700 and 1000 DVDs. The demand is for films like Katsu-bi, Estelle’s secret fantasies, Young naughty suburban girls, North-African spreadable babes and Double-shot 19-year-old.”
“Tell me – Katsu-bi being a bisexual film – isn’t it a bit risky to release such a video ?”
“I have directed a few gay films under the Diva LLorca pseudo along with William and HPG who had already shot a few bisexual films. At the time we thought it would be quite amusing to gather all the porn stars together – ie Katsu, Tiffany, Nina Roberts … - and direct such a film including gay actors in the casting. The girls’response to the concept was very much enthusiastic. As soon as you try something unusual, people get very much excited. The film is for any amateur to watch. It is a true curiosity. I have always wanted to be different and often stray from the beaten track. I like providing my audience with new exciting stuff. I started working in the industry about twenty years ago. At the time I was shooting people exposing themselves in the streets, mature women…In the early 1990s, HPG and I were the first to shoot outdoor scenes : we chose places like right under the Eiffel Tower, in the underground or on the stairs of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. We weren’t aware of the danger at the time but the success was huge and unexpected. Nowadays these films are being remastered and sold on DVD.
“Do you plan to sponsor new producers ?”
“Our budget is still limited for the time being so we can’t really go into partnership with big producers. However, we are planning to co-produce some films with the French Channel Kiosque. At the moment, I am working with HPG. I have always enjoyed working with him. He has got genuine talent and will go far. He helped me give life to specific projects I was too shy to make a reality. We are also considering other partnerships and the trading of licenses.
If I could – financially speaking – I would like to distribute films produced by Tony Del Duomo for example.
